Re: LGP Beer Madness (IPA Edition)
I just picked the only ones I think deserve mention for "best of". At least just the ones that stick out the most to me.

Victory Hopdevil
Clown Shoes Galactica
Helltown Idle Hands
(I'm hoping to try Hop Slam this year; think Racer 5 is a little overrated; Sculpin not a personal favorite of mine)

Hop Slam is $20 a six pack in my neighborhood.
I won't be getting any Hop Slam this year.

Re: LGP Beer Madness (IPA Edition)
So, TL, those two are your votes?
Yes, let's post three beers you want to move on. if you only want to vote one or two, that's fine, but max of 3.
What do you think for duration of voting? We could leave it open for a few days in case anyone wants to try beers on the list before voting.

That's not a bad idea. I'd make an effort to try Hop Slam. Troy, you've seen it around? I know the release date is usually sometime around now and Caliente usually has some bottles.

It was released in January. You might see it around at some bottle shops...because of the restrictive pricing.Kraftster wrote:That's not a bad idea. I'd make an effort to try Hop Slam. To keep it manageable, when voting, please just vote your three choices. Like eddy did, except not 4, only 3.

Also, what about union ipa by Firestone walker? That should be added to the wildcard or west coast, just my worthless 2 cents

You don't have to vote three if you don't feel strongly about three. I'll add union.

Re: LGP Beer Madness (IPA Edition) - Wild Card Voting
Thank you. I'm sorry for being a major pain, I edited my last post before seeing this. My final votes are
Sculpin, hop devil, and Union Jack.
Deep ellum ipa (which many probably haven't had due to location) is also an excellent one. Don't think it should be added to the list though because of people probably not able to have it. I'm jealous of you guys I really wanna try hop juju

Just out of curiosity, has anyone had Resin besides me and Eddysnake?

I was blown away when I first had this beer.

It was a good beer. I don't think I'd put it up in my top 10. It's a solid beer, and I enjoy it, but typically isn't something I'd seek out.

Multiple people have told me that beer is outstanding, I need to try it out as well. Going to go look up it's ibu and abv as where it's available

I really enjoyed the Resin. My brother just brought me another (looking forward to trying it again at the beginning of the night rather than end) along with sixpoint Crisp. Got a resin going out to BigMck as well.

To me it's a better Ithaca Flower power, just a super floral and a smooth IPA.
I'm not as much into the super dry harsh IPA's anymore.
