Has Sullivan ever addressed publicly why Pul isn’t seeing the ice or getting a sweater? I’d like to know what we’re missing.
lol. What’s the point? “I’m trying to put together a lineup that gives us the best chance to win” is the only response anyone will get
After enough failure and repeating the actions that led to failure, does it still count as trying?

Repeated failing to try = trying to fail.

Pensburgh has an article up on the top prospects for the next few years (https://www.pensburgh.com/2024/11/20/24 ... epcts-pens), and it seems like the Pens could be bottoming out at the right time.

So, we can go after 3 exceptional status players:

2025 - Center Michael Misa, currently ranked around 5th best prospect in the draft.
2026 - LW Gavin McKenna, currently seen as #1 prospect in 2026
2027 - RHD Landon Dupont, who is also expected to get exceptional status.

Since exceptional status rule was put in place, here are all the players that
2005 - John Tavares
2011 - Aaron Ekblad
2012 - Connor McDavid
2013 - Sean Day (defenseman, only one on the list to be a bust)
2015 - Joe Veleno
2019 - Shane Wright
2020 - Conor Bedard
2022 - Michael Misa
2024 - Landon DuPont

Looking into this more, McKenna got exceptional status earlier in his career in BC and Alberta, but was not given exceptional status by the WHL, which is why he's not on the list. Veleno is an ok player, Wright is trending towards bust but he's still only 20. Everyone else is all-star level or better.

No reason to stop spoiling us now….if we could get McKenna and DuPont, we could be back in the playoffs by 2030!
