Way to go, Devils. The Bruins going down in flames and now the media's most favorite team getting eliminated makes for two great days of hockey.

The only thing better would be if they mocked the Rags with their goal song after that empty netter.

Reading some Ranger fans comments. They want Gallant gone and want Sullivan lol. Funny how fan bases see things differently.
They will try to find a way to move on from Panarin I'm sure.

NJ Twitter had some next level trolling after the game:

Time to get out the south-pointing compass.
Picking Toronto, Carolina, Dallas and Edmonton.

Ranger fans are in full meltdown today. They want Panarin gone. I’m enjoying the meltdown but a little surprised. The Devils were the better team all year and it showed in the playoffs.
Adding Kane was a misstep for sure.

We've all seen that fish before. You can't simply add every big name out there and expect that it makes you unstoppable. This year, Bruins and Rags proved that again. Remember when the Pens went all in with Iginla, Morrow and Murray among others? I don't understand how NHL GMs do not know this.

No Boston, NYR, Tampa, Colorado. NHL can't be pleased with these mathups. Ratings will take a hit:
EDM/LV
SEA/DAL
FLA/TOR
NJ/CAR
Watch Florida Seattle be the finals lol

Re: 2023 Non-Penguins Related Thread
The funny thing about Kane is that he basically forced the Rangers' hand. They got Tarasenko and were basically done. Then Kane threw a tantrum in the media about how New York was the only place he wanted to go, so the Rags shrugged and traded for him.Pitts wrote:We've all seen that fish before. This was a "thanks, I hate it" kind of move from the beginning.

It is bad from a ratings perspective, but hockey-wise, these are some pretty interesting matchups.KG wrote:No Boston, NYR, Tampa, Colorado. NHL can't be pleased with these mathups. Ratings will take a hit:

Fun for a neutral viewer though, I like all of these matchups.KG wrote:No Boston, NYR, Tampa, Colorado. NHL can't be pleased with these mathups. Ratings will take a hit:

Supporting the Western Penguins against Dallas. Don't think they stand a chance, but I thought that against Colorado too at first.
For the finals, I think I'd like to see Oilers-Devils.

Watched the cheapshot on Heier. Broadcasters are all carrying the NHL's water "legitimate hard clean hit to the body core". Except that Trouba's shoulder targeted his head.

Same old NHL. One set of rules for the season and a different one for the playoffs.

They should have the honesty to bring back the NHL Wheel of Justice. Or at least admit they are still using it.

I didn't like that hit, but it was clean. Meier bent the neck down and Trouba didn't look to hit the head. Still quite dangerous though, so maybe a rule change is the answer. And on balance Trouba is a PoS.IntangibleBeer wrote:This!!!!Pitts wrote:3-0!!!! Rangers are done!! Let it be known - you can’t buy a Cup!!!! F you Trouba, you piece of crap!![]()

Now, compare that to Eberle boarding Cogliano and that's definitely a major and a suspension for my money. Really ugly hit.

So IF I was a gambler and had to pick tonight I think I would take the Leafs and Kraken. I'm pretty sure the results will be the opposite which is why I can't and don't gamble.
