Re: NBA
The owners in basketball have done everything short of encase themselves in lead to protect themselves from their own stupidity. The players association has sold out its players at every opportunity.Troy Loney wrote:So the sport where one player really can't be paid too much. Is the one with the most stringent constraints on yearly salary

Re: NBA
Just saw the Spurs are hiring a female assistant coach Becky Hammon. What I find more interesting than her being female is that she's still playing for the San Antonio WNBA team. Imagine if Derek Fisher accepted the Knicks job mid-season with the Thunder...(ignoring tampering rules of course)
Hopefully she does well and gets a chance at a head coaching job

Re: NBA
The Cavs have an agreement in place for Love in exchange for Wiggins, Bennett, and a Projected 2015 1st round pick. Love will opt out in 2015 and extend with the Cavaliers on a five-year, $120 million-plus contract.
Lebron, Love, Irving.
Sick.

Re: NBA
Waiters and Thompson are pretty good. Anthony Bennett's career isn't over. He could still work out.
Thompson specifically is nearly a double-double a game guy.

I don't really care about that team anymore now that Lebron went back, but I would like to see them keep Wiggins and just not get Love. I understand they don't want to wait even a short amount of time to be a win now team, but Wiggins could be so great.

I heard he's going to go to Philly in a three team trade.Troy Loney wrote:I think Bennett is going with Wiggins to MinnesotaIdoit40fans wrote:Waiters and Thompson are pretty good. Anthony Bennett's career isn't over. He could still work out.

I would say first year Wade, Lebron, Bosh is better than Kyrie, Lebron, Love but obviously I can be proven wrong. It's a shame that neither Wade nor Kyrie are premier catch-and-shoot three point guys because that would be such a good skill for them when playing with Lebron. Like, imagine if Lebron went to Golden State with Curry and Thompson.

I would disagree with this. When bron went to Miami, wade had been top 3 in PER for several years. He was at the top of his game.count2infinity wrote:Lebron, Love, Irving > Lebron, Bosh, Wade IMO. But we'll see.
I think in terms of player compliment, Irving and love fit better as you have a true PG, but hard to argue that compilation of talent when bron first went to Miami
