Re: NBA
Last night the Lakers beat the NBA-best Warriors without the aid of ball hog/horrible teammate Kobe Bryant.
Nick Young's post game quote:
Nick Young's post game quote:
"Some guys just played like 'Django Unchained' — they were free tonight," Young said.
And what would Young tell Bryant?
"Pretty much going to have to tell Kobe to pass me the ball, pass us the ball," Young said. "Tell him to take the backseat for a little bit. He can be 'Driving Miss Daisy' and I can be Miss Daisy and drive."

One of the dumbest things I've ever seen. In other NBA Christmas news, Steven Adams is really turning into a beast. Would have been nice if Jamie Dixon actually utilized him.MalkinIsMyHomeboy wrote:God damn the first name on the jerseys is so terrible

Wow, big trade today. Shump and JR Smith to the Cabs, Waiters to OKC and the Knicks are getting ****.
Great trade for OKC, Shump will be good for the Cabs but JR Smith? Lebron will murder Smith. And I guess its good for the Knicks...can get rid of a lot of salary.

JR Smith is a troublemaker and a buttwad. Good fit in Cleveland. Him and JGordon should be best buds. Phil Jackson is quietly doing a great job of getting the crap out of the organization to truly start over. I sincerely hope they let him follow through with his plan .

Can any full-time NBA fans give some insight on the Hawks? I only follow the NBA peripherally but wow, they are having an incredible season. I look at the roster and the only name I recognize is Elton Brand. Are these a bunch of previous nobodies putting some magic together, or??

Re: NBA
their coach, Mike Budenholzer, is a Popovich disciple and you can really see it in their game. Offensively they're extremely efficient and they've become one of the better defensive teams too. I'm surprised how well they started off because the only all-star level player they had before this season was Horford but they picked up Millsap from Utah who's been exception and then you have Teague who's a good pick and roll PG and Korver who's leading the league in 3 point %.shafnutz05 wrote:Can any full-time NBA fans give some insight on the Hawks? I think they'll have trouble in the playoffs because they don't really have a guy who can take over a game but we'll see.

I went to both of the cavs game this weekend. Granted the competition wasn't the greatest, but their starting line up with mozgov and smith with the big 3 is really impressive. Mozgov gives them a presence inside they have lacked and he silently is a double double guy. It's been about twelve years since I have seen lebron live but he is so impressive. Kevin love was underwhelming

It sucks. It's a combination of the best dunkers not being in it and quite frankly I think there are only so many dunks they can do before it's just blahIdoit40fans wrote:I was wondering if i grew up or if it got a lot worse.
