The NBA eastern conference might be the biggest current joke in pro sports

The Toronto Raptors are up by almost 10 games in their division, and after their epic start the 76ers have actually passed the terrible Knicks. Seriously?

It really is pathetic. Only twice in the past decade has the 8 seed in the East had a record above .500. Multiple occurrences of the 7 seed having a losing record as well. The bottom half of the conference just plain old sucks.

Two most unfortunate types of retirement are due to injury and a player playing far longer than they should have... I'll miss that Canadian passing machine.
