WBS Penguins game-worn jersey sale!

Post by eastonpensfan »

Over the next day or so, they will finish listing all of the jerseys from the 2nd half of the year. Both of the players' first-half jerseys go to meigray. The players each get to pick either a home or road jersey from their second-half set to keep for themselves and the other one is listed here:

Is it acceptable to want/wear a WBS players jersey, even if hes not 'pittsburgh's property' ?

I'd say go for it. Nilsson, Deslauriers, Schremp, and Brodziak were huge parts of the year for this Wilkes-Barre team. I would think that all 4 of those jerseys, especially the Schremp, are going to go high.

There's a couple I'm keeping my eye on and hopefully, we don't bid on the same ones.

I just had to spend $800 to fix my car (hit a giant pothole at night on rt. 80) so I may have to sell my authentic Welch WBS jersey to get a gamer. If anyone's interested in a size 56 white WBS Welch, PM me, but I'm probably going to list it on ebay if I win a game-worn auction.

Considering his is the highest one from this year's team on meigray, have fun bidding on that. 8-)

Filewich already over $300. I got his road playoff jersey from last season for $325, curious to see where this one ends.

Here's a link to my other jerseys if anyone's interested. I also have a Colby Armstrong home that's not up yet. They are NOT FOR SALE!

Nice one, Mango. No Ouellet jerseys?

I'm liking that Talbot jersey too.

I had a Lasse Pirjeta game-used warmup jersey from last year with Wilkes-Barre. I sold it to buy a Malkin authentic (not GU) at the beginning of this year. I'm thinking I'm going to bid on some of the playoff jerseys this year or wait for meigray's summer sale. I'd love to pick up a James, Dixon, Kennedy, or Carkner jersey from this year.

Thanks! I bought that one for $125 not long after he was drafted. :-)

I also had a Team Canada U-18 jersey of his that I traded for the Abid blue alternate.

yowsa, these are getting pricy. Schremp, Lannon, and Bonvie are all above $420 ... unfortunately officially out of my price range.

In June or July, meigray does a pretty good sale. I believe that they will do a big discount this year because next year the AHL will also be switching to the new RBK jerseys, i mean, "uniform system" so the old ones will get cleared out. The discount in past years has been anywhere between 25-50% off.

You can ask to get on their mailing list and they tell you a day or so in advance about the sale.

I got my Army jersey in their buy one get one free sale. I teamed up with another person and we each paid half. Even at half price it was still too much, lol.

Nope, I was added to the Faceoff Factor staff.

I now post at http://wbspenguinsahl.blogspot.com

For the playoffs, I've actually been doing game-by-game reports.

I'm not leaving here. I actually post links to the reports once I post them. Keep checking them out and any comments are more than welcome.

As for those jersey results, some of those went to ridiculous prices. Kurtis McLean's jersey was higher than both of his are listed on meigray!

By the way, I just talked to one of my contacts with the WBS team and they said that, when the playoffs are over, the playoff jerseys (both home and away for each player) will be listed on ebay also.

I will post a link when that happens!

Do they do an equipment sale at all or do you have enough pull to get things?

At the end of the year, they do random, unannounced sales in small lots. The team store will put out sticks at $65 apiece after the season until they are gone. A couple weeks ago, the used practice jerseys from this year(unnamed and unnumbered) were put for sale at $59 each.

If you are interested for any certain player, call the team store at (570) 208-PENS during the day (9-5). Usually you will get connected with someone who doesn't have a clue at the front counter, but they can ask their manager and they will be able to either hook you up with what you want or at least tell you when it will be for sale.
