Frankie Leroux signs with the Wheeling Nailers
Apparently, Frankie Leroux still has an itch to play hockey. He signed today to play for the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL.

I was at that game, back when I was 13 years old. It still ranks up there as one of my favorites. And Mario actually had five goals in the game, along with two assists, I believe.Digitalgypsy66 wrote:Nice! Mario had 4 goals that night, too!

I think Gretzky only had 2 assists on the night.

Prior to this, he was playing for St. Jean on the LNAH.Nailers wrote:Apparently, Frankie Leroux still has an itch to play hockey. He signed today to play for the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL.
If I would have known he was looking to play beer league hockey for almost no pay, our rec league team needs a defenseman.

I'll definitely be there for that one. That's the Toys for Tots "Toy Toss Night". After the first goal, everybody throws a stuffed animal on the ice. If there's enough people in the place throwing, it's definitely a sight to be seen. But I do plan on taking a camera and I'll see if I can snap a few pics of ol' 16.speedyguns wrote:JS, Wheeling with Frankie Leroux will be in town again next Saturday night at 7pm. I got my ticket from a season ticket holder who can't make it due to being out of town so I plan on trying to get some pics of that one next Saturday. That is the last Johnstown home game until Dec 21-22 I believe when they are bringing back Jeff, Steve and Dave.JS© wrote:he was in Johnstown last night and I missed it.Jim wrote:I suppose I shall have to make at least one trip to Wheeling this year!
From the first time that they brought the cup here, I know there's at least one Frankie Leroux jersey in this town.
