The NHL promotes refs from the minor leagues, but I do not believe they preside over them and their performances.

And not to defend the refs, but if Tom Grace is the reason you perceive them to have done a bad job... well, he isn't the most objective guy in the world.

I had forgotten it was on tonight, and pulled up the radio feed just in time for Grace's postgame.

Both teams went 0-for on the PP, and Sabourin only gave up two goals, but the Pens could only score once. Hard to indict Sabourin for that.

to those that saw/heard the whole game, were the players sent down from the Islanders a factor? The Isles telecast last saturday said 9 players were being sent down...
