The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed defenseman Alex Grant to a three year entry-level contract. The Penguins fourth round draft pick (118th overall) in 2007 attended the Penguins’ prospect camp and earned an invitation to main training camp this past September. The 6-1, 190-pound right-shot defenseman has tallied 12 points (four goals, eight assists) along with 12 penalty minutes in 10 appearances this season for the Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League

Alright. Good for him. I'd assume that he's coming along nicely, which is good to see. Hope he continues to do well when gets his shot in WBS.

Sweet.
He just hit 100 points in his junior career with St. John. He's a great leader, and is very possibly a future top 4 defenseman in the NHL.

I don't know how well his game will translate to the NHL, but from what little I've seen of him in training camp, his hands are very, very good. Maybe even Letang-good.

WOW! I know the Tang has been a favorite of most of the Training Camp Roadies, so that's pretty high praise. Hopefully, he has the same attitude as Tanger and wants to learn just as much defensively. Letang made HUGE strides in defense from his first stint before going back to juniors until his callup.
