Pens Sign Zack Sill

Post by whgnailer10 »

The Penguins signed center Zack Sill to an AHL contract today. Decent player who is known for his physical game.

I just read JB's post. led his team in hits last year, surprisingly enough, the WBS team didn't have a LH center last year and he is.

a guy who led his team in hits on a line with Bissonnette?!? :)

looks like a pretty promising pickup. It's always interesting for me to see how the depth in WBS starts to shake out.

Cool. Hopefully he and Caffaro can become solid AHL'ers for them

You know what I find interesting is the underdog players who have come up with promising potential... Dustin Jeffrey, Lovejoy, Letestu, Wallace, etc. are all guys who would not have been high-level prospects, but came up big.

you could throw Kurtis McLean in that group too. Especially as an undrafted Division 3 player.

Good call... John Curry too. he was undrafted. Who did the Pens draft that year in goal? I think it was Johnson and Goepfert and then had issues signing them or something and went instead with Curry and Brown.

chalk up Jason Jaffray and Dany Sabourin to that list as well, even though they are no longer Pens property. I think Jaffray could really have a breakout year in Calgary.
