Former Nailers center, Kurtis McLean, was resigned by the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins, it was announced Thursday by Penguins Chief Executive Officer, Jeff Barrett.
McLean began last season as a member of the Nailers, recording a team-best 46 points before being recalled by Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on January 11. His 46 points were second in the ECHL at the time of his recall, and he was named to the American Conference team for the ECHL All-Star Game. He appeared in 41 games with the Nailers overall, recording 56 points and a team-high 31 goals.
McLean, 25, appeared in 32 regular season games with the Penguins last season, recording 15 points (4+11) and eight penalty minutes. He tied the team record for points and assists in a game (four and five, respectively) in a 7-2 win against the Syracuse Crunch on January 18. His first AHL point and goal were among those tallies.

Great news!!! McLean plays with a lot of energy and is a welcome resigning. Even though he will never play in the NHL, he has a very accurate shot and plays his heart out. Great job WBS!
On a side note, they got something backward in the article about his team record. How could you have 4 points and 5 assists in a game? The 4 and 5 should be reversed.
