Invitees to Pittsburgh training camp

Post by eastonpensfan »

Most of the players we can expect to see at WBS this year will be there at least for the first week, but Therrien has said he wants to cut down on the numbers in the Pittsburgh training camp from previous years.

With that said, why are guys like Bissonnette, Fernholm, and especially Dennis frigging Bonvie (who has no chance in heck of making this team) on the Pittsburgh TC roster?

Your thoughts...

They won't be for long. Decaf...

I would bet that a good number of the players won't make it to the plane to Canada on Sunday. But the staff wants to get at least one look at them.

Dennis Bonvie's NHL rights are not owned by anyone. His contract is with Wilkes-Barre only. I suspect he got an invite so they he would be on-par with everyone else once Wilkes-Barre starts their own camp.

I wonder which small skill player he'll pick on this year. Maybe Morrison or Kennedy? :?
