Stand up comedy thread
So I enjoy stand up comedy. Was seeing if there was interest in a thread devoted to it. One of my favorites is Mike Birbiglia's What I should have said was Nothing special...

IMO, the two best comedians of the last 25 years are Jeff Dunham (for his creativity) and Bill Engvall.

One of the best things to play on a long road trip is the Mitch Hedberg Pandora radio station.
**edit: one of the best things about it is that you get no one from the "blue collar" comedy group.

i have never thought about a pandora station with comedy on it. are they short snippets from skits? or are they like hour long specials on it?Troy Loney wrote:One of the best things to play on a long road trip is the Mitch Hedberg Pandora radio station.

I used to like Mitch Hedberg's stuff, then years later hated Demetri Martin. Then I went back to Mitch Hedberg and realized they were the same person. Haven't been able to not be annoyed by listening to Mitch Hedberg since then.
I've been listening to Hannibal Buress' bits lately and he's pretty awesome.

Ok good (on the sarcasm post).shafnutz05 wrote:This is new to me, and something I will be doing for now on.count2infinity wrote:i have never thought about a pandora station with comedy on it. are they short snippets from skits? or are they like hour long specials on it?Troy Loney wrote:One of the best things to play on a long road trip is the Mitch Hedberg Pandora radio station.

And yeah, it's pretty awesome, it just goes on a circuit of good comedians. A couple of the more recognizable guys that come up on that station are Louis CK, Tosh and Aziz Ansari (and Hedberg of course)....but there are a handful of other guys that come up on that station who are really funny.

I would like to remind everyone in the thread that inserting youtube videos that have swear words in it is very much against the code of conduct on LGP and should refrain from doing so.

No. The two best comedians that have performed at least once in the last 25 years.PensFanInDC wrote:I'm assuming you mean the two best comedians to rise in the last 25 years.shafnutz05 wrote:IMO, the two best comedians of the last 25 years are Jeff Dunham (for his creativity) and Bill Engvall.

Hannibal is the next person I really want to see. Took me forever to see Bill Burr last month.

I think Brian Reagen is so underrated. Seems like not too many really know him.

I keep Comedy Central XM, blue collar XM, and laugh USA on a pretty steady loop in my car. I was reflecting this weekend that people probably think I'm psychotic when I'm laughing my face off

The only one I have consistently listened to recently was Comedy Central, It seems like people I hate are on the other stations.Letang Is The Truth wrote:I keep Comedy Central XM, blue collar XM, and laugh USA on a pretty steady loop in my car.
