A short film I co-wrote won a 48 hr film competition

Post by nocera »

Hey guys. This past weekend the production company I'm a member of (par-t-com) participated in a 48 hour film competition at Ohio University. We were given a genre (mockumentary), a prop (a paper airplane), and a line of dialogue (he's just not that into you)

It can be viewed here:

We ended up taking first (out of 28 teams) and I'm quite proud of the finished product. Feedback is appreciated. Thanks

I liked it. It was odd, but interesting.

The editing and the dialogue reminded me very much of "The Office".

What happened to Rodney?!

I'm not going to be able to sleep without that knowledge. Freak paper-cut injury? Paper airplane to the temple? What?!

Seriously, I loved it. "I made tires for that wheel" really had me laughing and the slow-mo fadeout as he enters NAPAC was cool.

Was all the nudity really necessary?

Congrats on the win. I thought it was very good.

Very Peter Guest-ish, but I guess it was a mockumentary, afterall. He's pretty much the gold standard.

One thing bugged me: I don't picture Rodney with that girl, or actually, vice versa.

Are you kidding me?!? THAT won? That's the worst thing I've ever watched in my entire life. Was the rest of the films produced by the 3 blind mice? How much did you pay off the judges???? Or did you make a contribution to a political campaign?

This is all sarcasm for those w/o a sense of humor. Not that it was that funny. I didn't watch it and don't know if I will. Though the words "that girl" and "nudity" has seriously piqued my interest. Sccchwwwiiiiiing!!!!!

Lord Stanley, Lord Stanley; bring me the brandy.
