Good career, even if it was steroid driven. Kinda have to believe it was steroid driven because up until last season, when steroids became an issue he was hitting 35 + HRs a year. His stats did fall off in 04, hit 35 HRs, .254 average. But last season he hit .221, 15Hrs... And he says he is embarassed that nobody other than the Nationals are interested. Rob Mackowiak out hit Sammy last year!

I would say that his career will always be viewed at in some sort of controversial fashion. From steroid accusations, to the corked bat incident, I think that Sammy's numbers have lost some "credibility".
