3rd for a guy I'd even offer a QO is solid.

Thanx god! No more Sully's pet on 2nd line

We are getting 3rd rounder (year?) and some minor league player

Another good piece of business by KD. He got a 3rd from Nashville for taking on Glass this year and just traded him for another 3rd.

Two third rounders for parking Glass for 60 games. Not bad business. Nothing too exciting either

LeBrun tweeted there was some minor leaguers involved but no details. Everyone else just shows the 3rd.

a 3rd for a guy who I would pay someone to take...superb. Strong small moves by KD. No big high impact moves, that in this market SHOULD have happened so I cannot say I am super happy, but at least he has finally been picking up the low hanging fruit.

This is an interesting trade. A 3rd for Glass would have been fine but adding the 2 prospects is interesting. Stillman was a 2021 1st round pick, while he’s not having a great year he’s still ranked the Devils 6-8 best prospect. He skates well and plays physical. Could be a bottom six add sooner than later.

Worth a shot for sure.

Stillman was listed 13th, out of 14 players, in the latest ranking from the Athletic. At this point, it seems like he's a project that could turn into a 4th liner at best. No problem with that as the price to acquire him was very low.

Maybe he was their Poulin and they wanted the contract spot more than the player. The window for signing players from university is going to be open soon.

The way I view guys like Stillman is that he could create competition to elevate someone that today might be a 3rd liner but the competition forces him to improve to 2nd line opportunity.

It's a sell low trade. Within that context, anything these prospects do is a bonus.

I'd have been happy with just a 3rd so anything else is a bonus and Max Graham offers much needed size and physicality so there is that.
