John Chayka seems to love to make trades. Between 7/1/16-6/30/17 he made 12 trades. From 7/1/17-today he has made 6 more. 18 trades in as many months. Maybe he needs a fidget-spinner...

It would be understandable if the trades were to improve the team, but is seems like most are just deals to make deals. The biggest names: Hanzal and Mike Smith out; Stepan, Hjalmarsson and Panik in. But mostly the likes of Maguire, Kujawinski, Ranford, Pulkkinen...

Dauphin (in), Ranford (out) and Leighton (out) were both traded away and traded for.
