As I said previously, I hope that the appeal ends with a 25 game suspension as opposed to the original 20.

I just lost a ton of respect for the NHLPA. I guess Sundqvist threw himself into Wilson's elbow. No way in h*** that POS should ever see NHL ice unless he's a spectator. I agree Jim and I might even go so far as to say his suspension should be for as long as Sundqvist is out. That's 6 mos from what I've read. I think they're being optimistic. I hope I'm wrong.

I'm still wondering why a union is only intent on protecting the perpetrator. Last I checked, every recipient of Wilson's dirty hits (and man, have there been many) has been in the union, as well. How does that make sense to any one?

If you think about what unions are support do for its members/workers... then why is their a need for groups like OSHA, and why do unions and OSHA conflict so often. Union logic.

Wilson's suspension got reduced to 14 games and he is eligible to return ASAP since the caps are 16 games in.

FWIW, I can almost guarantee that he will illegally hit someone again. Then there is no reason not to drop the Raffi Torres hammer on him. I don't think he'll learn.

Vinny Trocheck probably done for the rest of the year after his leg is destroyed at likely both the knee and ankle. So bad he had to be stretchered off the ice. Watch the replay below, and you can literally hear Trocheck screaming in pain for 5-10 seconds. You can see the Ottawa goalie whip his head towards Trocheck upon hearing the screams:

Just watched most of the Craps v. Sabers. Craps won 2-1 with Tom Wilson getting the GWG (ugh). Impressed with Buffalo's speed. They are quick.

Their new GM, whose name escapes me (*cough*), has put quite a team together.
