Nothing better than watching a pint settle out, lads!
What is Noel Acciari (esp at center) or even Bemstrom doing that JP isn't doing? Am I missing anything... other HCMS's obstinance?Penguins projected lineup:

Literally my exact thought 3 seconds ago when I read the post with the lineup.

Re: Official GDT: Pens vs Red Wings 3/17/24
I've been saying this all year in different threads...IMO, Acciari is much better suited for RW. I believe he's had more success and production in his career when he plays RW as opposed to C. This is why, even though he's been producing of late, I still have disdain for Carter. He makes mistakes, and at 39 years old, it's kind of inconceivable to me that he gets a spot in the lineup no matter what. I would like to see Acciari shifted to RW, but, we don't have another center on the roster right now, and Carter isn't capable.
I feel like Sullivan has lost his way in terms of line construction, and it is especially more noticeable with the funk that Crosby is currently stuck in. I feel like our 4th line is nothing more than a breather for lines 1-3. There's no focus. It's not exceptional defensively. It's not a high pressure forecheck line. It's not a wear you down and cycle line. It's a hodge podge of what we have leftover from lines 1-3, mixed in with not guys Sullivan overvalues.

I want to finish as low as possible and not changing the lineup one bit from yesterdays embarrassment gets the team to that goal.

Usually those crazy pucks have been ending up in our net.

No Colby, Smith’s game has not been coming around. This was lucky and he has been a horrible trade.

It hilarious that we added a pick to start with in the Bemstrom trade and that it would become a 3rd if he got 6 goals over about 20 games while Nylander has 8 already in 11 games.

Dubas still paid more for Bemstrom than Omar did for Fields.

He's garbage and those aren't real points. It's a mirage. He can't contribute anything in the NHL. The greatest coach ever proved it, so is beyond question. If you've got it, you keep it.

Pens:
✔ Replace half the team
✔ Get older
✔ Fail to make playoffs
✔ Trade Guentzel for... stuff
... Fail at tanking.

Was that Graves who knocked Ned's stick out of his hand?

Re: Official GDT: Pens vs Red Wings 3/17/24
One of the NHL Network guys right before cutting to the game said if this is a tied game late then Sullivan needs to pull the goalie because we need two points and also can’t let the Wings get to OT. And he’s right.
