I just bought Wind Waker a few days ago! I had it before, but I think I traded it in a long time ago. It's games like Wind Waker or Okami that will age well because of their unique style. I'm actually enjoying it much more than it did the first time around, even though the gameplay is still similar to the other Zelda's. The ocean setting that was originally a turn off now seems really cool.

This is why I don't know if I'm going to get a new system. To really enjoy games, you can't have too many. How else can you spend the amount of time required to get all the extras and really enjoy something? Now that I have all those SEGA and Nintendo ROMs to go with my PS2 and GameCube, I'm set. The only thing I really buy new games for now is the DS, and there hasn't been anything I've wanted in a long time. They need to bring me a new Advanced Wars!!! Best games ever...

I'm an old school NES game collector and I love them because if I need a break, but want to play a quick game, they are the way to do it.

I try to by one new game at a time usually because you are right, if you have too many, you don't anything done if you want to collect and beat 100% of the game.

I've run into that issue now because I bought Windwaker for the Gamecube last fall, started it, got a Wii, started playing those games, picked up Mario Kart, Punchout, Lego Star Wars, and Lego Batman, and now I'm in overload with two or three partially completed games.

I just need to beat one game at a time and move to the next.

I know, I'm a dork. :D

Donkey Kong Country is also a ton of fun...that definitely revolutionized graphics. Hard to believe the graphics were that great on the SNES

I still personally think that that system has the best true "arcade" type graphics.

The NES was too primative, N64 ventured into 3d, but was primative for that, and now everything is too realistic to have that arcade type feel. They are my favorite graphics.

Definitely. I don't generally like NES, except for several titles like Mario Brothers, Blaster Master, Ice Hockey, and Metroid. Those will always be awesome in my book. Maybe a few lesser known games like Mighty Final Fight, Shatterhand, and Little Samson were OK too, but I just never cared for NES the way I did about Genesis and SNES. There are some real gems on those systems.

Definitely some gems. Super NES is my second favorite system of all time. The NES will always hold a special place in my heart as the best though. Mainly for nostalgic reasons. I loved it.

I'm a Metroid Fanatic but I hated the original. No map fail. That series took off with Super Metroid, what I still consider to be the greatest game of all time.

Ice Hockey was GREAT!!! It was hockey and strategy, how many fat guys/skinny guys/normal guys should you have on the ice at once. Waaay better than Blades of Steel.

On a side note, I feel they should have just cut out the one line of commentary in Blades of Steel, hearing "with the pass" endlessly was irritating.

I wouldn't say I hate the original, but it is near the bottom of my list. I go back and forth between Super Metroid and Metroid Prime as being my favorite game of all time. It usually depends on which I have played most recently.

I can't wait for the MP Trilogy to come out. I may need multiple pairs of pants while playing MP with the motion controls.

It's hard for me to judge. It's like asking me which Sam Adam's I like best (I love Sam Adams). As good as 3 and World were, I think the black sheep 2 and Yoshi's Island were at least as good. Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy? Oh yeah, I totally touched it.

How can you hate the original metroid? That game was confusing as hell and still awesome!

Lack of a map sucked, but the setting and the overall eeriness of the game was a first for me, I think. That game and Master Blaster were games that were much deeper than most others at the time. And the gameplay was great too. A lot of NES games just don't handle well.

I didn't even play Blades of Steel. Well, I bought it, but it sucked so bad, I didn't play it. I think Ice Hockey would be enjoyable even now.

I'll take 1 skinny guy up front, 2 mid-weight guys on wings, and 1 fatso in the back for big hits and power shots.

I still sometimes play Super Tennis on SNES, as it is one of the most fun tennis games I ever played. You look at the tennis games in the last 5 or 10 years and they're just not that enjoyable. I must have tried 10 of these. They have nice graphics, but the gameplay stinks. Super Tennis looks like a cartoon, but it is so FUN to play.

Oh, what's cool about emulators is that you can do an internet game with a buddy.

Little indie game that has been developed for years now and grown immensly in popularity. Think Pirates meets Oblivion and Total War, kind of. Brilliant game. Haven't played anything so intensively for years. Even better, an expansion with added content, multiplayer battles and improved graphics will be released this fall.

I have heard about that game. I might have to try it out when the expansion hits.

I'm replaying CoD4 on 360. I already beat it on PC when it came out, but I want to get my console FPS skillz back for MW2.
If you like RPG's, free roaming and open ended games as well as a medieval setting and those battles than this is the game to check out. For the first time you're controlling a single unit combined with the tactical elements of medieval battles. And it's not just clicking. You've got different approaches and moves. Last night I was chasing this horseman as battle raged around me. After a while we meat head on and I realize his horse has taken lots of arrows, so I swing low. His horse dies, he flies to the ground. While turning around I down two archers, one swinging right and the other as I quickly swing again to my left, before coming around and finishing the unhorsed rider. I mean scenes like that, no other game does that. Then add the exploration, factions/relations, looting/raiding, quests, tournaments, alternatives in how you play as in fighting with a faction (rising through the ranks up to king), helping a claimant or going rebel by starting a faction of your own.

Man did this come out nerdy :D

I could not agree with this more. Don't get me wrong, I loved the original Legend of Zelda...but talk about a game with NO direction whatsoever. You could literally wander around the map for days trying to find the dungeons. Was there even some kind of map to show you the places you had already been? I thought it at least had that.

Me too. They always gave you just enough information to not completely figure it out though.
