People get nostalgic and start to worry about their legacy as they get older and end their careers. More optimistically, Jagr wants to come back to the NHL for one final chance to win which is why he is interested in DET. Yeah, I never thought this coudl be real and he'd never be back. I think in the past, the Pens didn't need him, and I still think that today. I think he'd be a nice pickup for a good price, but the Pens don't need to bend over backwards to bring him in as they are doing just fine w/o him. Although at the same time part of me is just thinking since all the talking is being done by Jagr's agent that maybe there isn't much NHL interest and he's trying to act like there is just to drum some up.

I think it is a mix. I think he is truthful in that Jagr really wants back with the Pens. However, the Pens have to be on board.
