Hotpass charged the first year they did it, where they had live announcers for that driver's channel, and they had five channels. Hermie Sadler and Phil Parsons were among the voices used. Might have been 2008? The 2nd year, it became free, but they cut out the announcers, and cut back to 4 channels.

Is it unedited? Some of the radio feeds on Nascar Now are incredible.

Sorry, thought with DTV's advertisements of it that it was common knowledge.

http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/content/sports/nascar" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Guess it's 795-798 range. Though their site doesn't have the upcoming drivers announced yet. Usually they announce midweek. Often, 24 and 88 featured, depending on track though. Road courses generally feature Ambrose, Montoya, etc.

The nice thing is, the in-car never stops when the TV feed goes to commercial. And you have an idea where that driver is in relation to the leaders, and those around during the breaks.

As far as I know, yes. Cussing and all. It's like NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile app with the video feeds added.

chase thoughts...

Seems a fair chance now that Keselowski will bump either the 14 or 88 out of the Chase the rate he is going - he's 21 down of Stewart, and 39 down of Earnhardt. Bowyer is a point back of Keselowski in 12th.

Part of me wants to see the 88 secure 10 points at Atlanta on the 2/33, so that they will be over 48 going into Richmond, and could race for the win without having to feel like they are points racing. They haven't had a top 5 in forever - maybe since Kansas in June? They are in the top 10 because they have had 20 races of 24 in the top 20, the same number as Harvick. Yet I was surprised to see that Harvick, despite 3 wins, had only two more top 10s than Earnhardt, yet double the number of top 5s.

I understand Letarte and changing strategy to points racing ("better safe than sorry", so to speak) rather than by securing the highest finishing position possible, in light of problems Hamlin was having at Michigan, and Stewart/Bowyer at Bristol. But a race team playing not to lose will never win, and that is very frustrating as a fan. It's almost like the prevent defense analogy.

Oh, and why on earth they ruined Bristol by changing the banking I will not understand. The upper grove at Bristol was always a bad place to be in the past. Now it's near preferred.

Gordon for the win in Atlanta tomorrow night.. :fist: just sayin' !!
And I fully expect him to tie 5 time with a Chase Win this season... Woot !!!

Jr. signed a 5 year extension with HMS. I love that Kasey Kahne is joining this team next year.

And Tony Stewart would like to have Mark Martin & Danica Patrick share a ride next
season for Stewart/Haas racing if he can find the funding.

My big problem was I had no DirecTV until Tuesday, so the rescheduled Tues works very well for me. Go 11!

The delay isn't so bad. It's the 11am start time for what was supposed to have been a night race that bothers me, not to mention it's during a workday.

Forgot to set the DVR for 11am. Even though I could do it online, decided not to. Maybe that will be the catalyst for the 88. Ha, fat chance. Speed is supposed to reair tomorrow evening, so if it is worth watching, I'll catch it then. And only follow the timing/scoring as it goes, twitter, etc.

damn. that caution was a hare too late.

JG had just lapped Regan Smith right as it came out. 88 had been in the lucky-dog, after having just got lapped himself.

Seems the 88 has picked up speed since the caution. Passed the 21st place car, yet still down a lap and in lucky dog position. Next car to go a lap down is about 10-12 seconds ahead of the leader. 27 on lead lap.

wow. 48 almost wrecked 5 or 6 times in the closing laps.

And the fastest car won. Now that Gordon has #85, will they give Bobby Allison his one win back that hasn't counted all these years to remain tied?

88 stemmed the bleeding a little. Lost 14 points on 11th, now up only +25 on Keselowski in 11th, and +3 on Stewart.

How the hell did Stewart run up the 3rd at the end of the race? Really exciting finish between those two. Hamlin with an okay 8th Place finish but overall a good run. They can't figure out that car though. Keslowski keeps up the hot streak. Bowyer's wreck means Menard or Ambrose need to win in Richmond or it's Keslowski and Hamlin in the WCs. I suppose Jr. could have a terrible day, which would move Keslowski to the 10th spot, Hamlin to #1WC and then we'd have a helluva race for the second WC spot with Ambrose/Menard trying to stay in top 20 and points spots 11-20 trying to get a win.
