Sorry I forgot to update these. Other than the players on contracts, these are the farm players i'll be signing. No contracts yet, but I figure we shouldn't really need those for a while.
Drew Storen
Freddie Freeman
Craig Kimbrel
Jonny Venters
Madison Bumgarner
and here are the players that were already under contract just for the whole roster
Troy Tulowitzky
Evan Longoria
Brian McCann
C.C. Sabathia
Jonathan Broxton
Johan Santana
Adam Jones
Jair Jurrjens
Jason Heyward
Dan Uggla
Jayson Werth
And as far as fantrax goes, I'm as much against it as I can be. If everyone else really wants to do it, i'm not going to cause a problem, but my vote is no.
Thanks, still in there finalizing so will add Venters, I had missed him.
Yeah, I don't want to push it too hard because you were not alone in being dissatisfied with it. But, like I said, if hockey is any indication, they've worked out the kinks, and I just think that administratively it would be way easier. At the end of the day, the two biggest things for me would be farm teams (don't know why Yahoo! won't add this with the number of keeper leagues that include farms out there) and probably the biggest thing for me is expanding the roster size in Sept, since I thought that was a really cool feature to have. Last year we had to drop a player if we wanted to add a farm player, which is really not the same thing at all.
I like yahoo's format, but beside that, I like it because i'm going to be there every day regardless of fantasy, and every fantasy league i'm in in any sport is on yahoo.
Thanks Kraftster I'll check my roster in the morning. I'm with Idoit on fantrax, I didn't like it 2 years ago plus all my other teams are on yahoo so it's nice doing it all in one spot. The added functionality and having the farm teams loaded right in was nice but I just didnt like that site and often forgot to check my roster (although that could've been the weekly format thing we did the first year too). I'm just constantly on yahoo and the iPhone app comes in handy when I'm traveling to set my roster on the fly.
Who is username nosebleed??? It better be Kicksave. I assumed when I saw 11 teams that Loaf and KS had joined. I was determining who was Coolio and who was Code Name Duchess and see that Coolio is someone with the username nosebleed. Either this is a new name for KS or someone (FanofUlf???) joined the league. If I have to reset all of these rosters I am going to smash something.
So what do you need from me? I am not re signing anyone
I think you're good. Just double check your farm to make sure you aren't losing anyone, I only came up with Nolan Riemold and he sucks so I left him off of your roster.
I know ive asked this multiple times but do you need to sign someone to a contract as soon as they are draftwd
After the draft you have a week or so (depends on when we finish) to sign to whatever length you choose (while being cap compliant) (1) players drafted this year, (2) expiring rookies retained, (3) other rookies you want to sign, (4) re-signed MLB players.
Team owner stuff is all sorted out. Can we plan to start the draft sometime next week?
Monday at noon deadline for re-signs, qualifiers (announce intention to keep expiring farm players), etc.? We can plan on starting the draft at 1:00 on Monday? All the guides/player lists/projections/etc. seem to be available out there now and we are already past when we started last year, so, we should try to start soon if not Monday.
