When I went to Barcelona I had my wallet/passport strapped to my self under my shirt

When I was in Italy I was in Bugnara (a small village that my mother's parents are from) the whole time (except when I flew in and out of Rome) and I understand a large amount of that dialect but I don't speak it well.... It was safe but again, its a small village

My bucket list in order of most desired:

I would recommend big Euro cities. You may even find a girl and stay there. Hell, at least you'd get health insurance and 2 months of paid vacation if you got a job. I'd leave exotic places like Hawaii for vacations that you can take later.

i've always enjoyed small towns over big cities in my european travels. but that's partly because my favorite trips were to the swiss alps...which isn't in play in this premise because of the terrain.

I am a big fan of Grand Cayman. Very clean, everyone really and not as busy as some of the other areas of the Caribbean. I could live there.

Second this for sure. Grand Cayman is awesome. Beaches are great, people are friendly, it is safe, and it isn't too crowded. And if you want more remote, Cayman Brac is pretty cool too.

Is the terrain that bad? I mean I still can't walk so I don't know the full extent of my limitations and I am just going off of what my doctors have told me my limitations will be. Maybe if I go young enough it won't be as big a problem? Cause I have been told the Swiss Alps is absolutely amazing.

If you are on a tight budget and have never been west, get a park pass ($80 last time I got one, gets everybody with you in the park), load up the car, and do that. Sure, Europe, etc sound exotic, but you can get as great of an experience in the States.

i wouldn't have enjoyed it if i couldn't have hiked. if you can do hikes at some point, then it should be on your list

these are from murren. i've been there a couple times. there's a hostel in the neighboring town that is super cheap, and pretty awesome from what i hear

The coolest places I've been were Mt. Pilatus in Switzerland, and Munich Germany.

My girlfriend recently found out she'll be a bridesmaid in a wedding in Hawaii June 2013. I'm pretty pumped because I've always wanted to go to Hawaii. On my recently out of college salary, it's going to be tough. I probably shouldn't spend the cash, but I really hope I'm financially irresponsible enough to do it. I've never booked my own flight anywhere. Anyone have tips on how I can get the cheapest flight?

Mt. Pilatus was awesome, but the greatest place I've ever been was Innsbruck Austria... If I ever hit the lottery, I'll be living there. Europe for sure.. Just make sure you have enough money to get home.

This is how I feel about Grand Bahama Island. Although I have to admit it's been about 10 years since I was there. It may not be as I remember it.

I was going to do this exact thing this summer or sometime soon. What i had in mind was traveling out Interstate 40. Going up the west coast and coming back via interstate 70 or 80. Make one large loop.

The problem is that a trip like that would take about 3 weeks and i only have 2 weeks paid vacation. Gonna have to wait a few years.

Instead, i'm just going to DC for the 4th of July weekend.

road trip across Iraq. start in Kuwait City, go through Basra, Nasiriyah, Najaf, Karbala. then head north to Baghdad, and cut back west through Habbaniyah, Fallujah and Ramadi. (make sure you see the Sa'adan mosque there) north again through Haditha to Mosul, and finish up with Tal'Afar and Sahl Sinjar. if you see any wires along the way, leave them alone and just hurry past. dont give the kids anything, theyre like pidgeons. if you give them something, you'll have a whole damn group following you around.

I've never been, and we're planning to go in Feb. Southwest has a KILLER 1 day deal right now, I can fly non-stop round trip for $204. But...only on certain days.

The shortest timeframe is 6 days. We'd fly out in the evening, and fly home bright and early. So subtracting the travel time leaves 5 full days.

I've heard people say more than 3 days in Vegas is a waste. Is that true? This is such a great deal flight wise I don't want to miss out, but I also don't want to waste 2 days in Vegas if I don't have to.

No way I'd survive in Vegas for 5 days.

edit: I was there for 4 days and one of those days was @ the Grand Canyon.

Too bad they blacked out New Orleans for Mardi Gras travel.
