Passport costs $135. $110 to the state department and 25$ to the post office. Plus if you pay to get your picture taken, was like $7 at Walmart

Just got passport books for the kids. $105 each, plus the pics. Took three weeks. However, took about a month to get on the schedule.

You can expedite the processing, but it's a hefty fee if I recall.

It is initially expensive to get a passport, Rylan. But they are valid for 10 years.

Yeah, expediting is pretty expensive, and probably not worth it. They say it's 4-6 weeks for non-expedited, and I think 1-2 with expedited. I think an extra $100 to do it.

Going to Croatia the last week in June for 2 weeks with my mom. We're meeting family that we didn't know existed, visiting friends, and checking out some property that my grandma inherited. It's going to be nice knowing that I can go and I won't have to really pay for any hotels AND I don't have to worry about any upcoming performances. Last time I was there (2004) I had to dance with my tamburitzan group in almost every city/village we stopped in.

Decided to stay here when in Ottawa. I love hotel rooms WITHOUT carpets. Hardwood floors > yucky, dirty hotel carpets.

I'm going to freaking Norway at the end of May. Unreal. I'm still hoping to play some hockey while I'm there, but that's not looking too likely at this point.

Check out some stave churches while you are there...I'm jealous. Northern Norway fascinates me.

I have no idea why, but this has me laughing like crazy.

And made me think of this, which isn't quite as funny.

So our flight back from St Lucia on Delta was supposed to come back on Sunday, they overbooked the flight and we volunteered to stay an extra day. I had taken Monday off and the girlfriend had already scheduled a half day and just changed it to a full day. So they gave us Delta travel vouchers and cab to and from the airport to a resort over the night. So at this point everything was awesome. Then yesterday due to the air traffic control furloughs, our flight was delayed by an hour...which gave us a half hour layover in Atlanta. Chaos ensued. We did end up making our connection last night though and after a very few hours of sleep, I am at work as scheduled today. Boom.

It's always nice when the travel voucher works out well for you. Coming back from our honeymoon, we had the choice to stay in Montego Bay's airport (sadly couldn't go back to the resort) for six hours until the next flight, and they would bump us to first class and give us vouchers.

I regret not taking the offer, but I was just so effing tired and ready to get home at that point I didn't want to wait around.

Thats how I felt yesterday, I think I got a cold at the aiport on Sunday, because I felt awful once we left the beach yesterday. Also the sinus pressure on the flight was terrible(first time i've ever experienced discomfort due to pressure like that in my life). It was amazing that we got bumped though...we just wanted to the Caribbean, so we took a "lesser" all inclusive resort and then stayed at Sandals Sunday night. I would have recommended anyone to go to that other resort the whole trip, we made great friends and had a great time and it was nice...but then we went to the Sandals...and I don't think I could ever stay anywhere else if I went back.

We went to Sandals Whitehouse, and absolutely loved it. The only bad thing about that resort was that it's in a bay, so the water is about as murky as the Jersey Shore. I wanted dat clear water

Yeah apparently Sandals St Lucia basically rebuilt a peninsula for this resort...I saw some bays murky like that, but this was the clearest water I've ever seen...I am so tempted to spend all of these travel vouchers to get back there in the fall haha. It was pretty depressing only getting that for one day.

We'll be in mostly southern Norway. We're going to Stavanger and Bergen.

Anyone ever been to Quebec City? Is there enough to do for four days/nights for 2 adults and 2 children(12 and 17)?

Is there enough there to do 41 games for an NHL team?
