Re: Odd Things You Read on Your Facebook Wall Thread
I've seen a ton of family taking over a dead person's page. I guess everyone deals with it in their own way, but some of it I find pretty weird. A 17 year old died back in the MySpace days and his 20 something sister logged on and made herself number 1 on his top 8 for example...JS© wrote:I get the people who use the dead person's page as a memorial.CERV96 wrote:Has anyone had any facebook friends that have died still posting stuff on your time line?
I understand the good intentions behind it and I'm not gonna knock anybody who does it, but it does come off as kinda creepy.

Re: Odd Things You Read on Your Facebook Wall Thread
Back in the myspace days, I stumbled on a website that had a listing with links of all kinds of myspace pages of people that died. They would have a link or story about how they died...link to the myspace page, and explain whether it had been taken over by someone or not. Weird stuff.

They never played the national anthem in school when I was a kid. We did the pledge of allegiance every morning, but no anthem.

I remember them playing the national anthem over the intercom before we said the pledge of allegiance.

My school did both every morning, in my elementary school they would play the caisson song which is basically the army song. My principle was a Vietnam vet

The son is like 8. The father is about the biggest deadbeat known to mankind. Our school never played the nation anthem in the mornings.

Re: Odd Things You Read on Your Facebook Wall Thread
You should play the national anthem (whitney houston style) in the morning before work/school at the house, great way to start the day. In addition, my kid is in kindergarten and they do the pledge of allegiance, but no anthem. They do practice the anthem in music/chorus class though.

It doesn't really, I just have a healthy distain for the guy. It's hard to show your son what the national anthem is when you are in and out of rehab every few months.count2infinity wrote:lol, how is that relevant to the conversation at all?meow wrote:The son is like 8. Saw this gem today:
"Who gives a sh** about the earthquake in china. Not me. As far as im concerned its not my country therefore idgas about theirs. I dont care about the death toll over there. Dont think it should be a topic on the today show but they dont talk about anything worth listening to most of the time."

I've got a guy complaining that he still can't figure out why the pens game was cancelled. He's going to a spring game today and has to miss it "That's BS! One little raghead gets loose and everybody panics. WTF?"Hockeynut! wrote:Saw this gem today:

Yeah. Sadly it's pretty consistent with most other things he posts. Like every single game the Pens play it's "**** (insert opponents name) or the always clever and hilarious inverting the F and the first letter of the of the opponents name to keep it "PG"

Dear Mathew Mcconaughey, the only reason that lil chipmunk bit and latched onto your hand is because mother nature hates you and you now know how it feels to sit through your movies...

Yeah I really hate when Facebook and Twitter posts are used to address someone you've encountered throughout your day that aggravated you and will never see your post:
"Dear lady waiting on me at the coffee place.....(sarcastic, not funny rant)
3 Commments
_______________
OMG I would have went nuts!
I hate when that happens people are so rude you should complained to a manager
