I signed up for Netflix again after being away for a long time. They kept offering me another free month and I figure they have new stuff I would want to see again. I got into the stand up comedy category and added a TON of stuff to my instant queue. Good times ahead for sure. Bill Burr gets me laughing every time so I started with a couple of his specials. Watched Billy Gardell's (from PGH) 2011 special filmed in PGH - good stuff there too. Have a ton of stuff I am looking forward too. I wish they had a wider array of things, maybe some lesser knowns, but I have plenty to watch for now.

Yeah, I never heard Kyle Kinane until a couple weeks ago. Pretty awesome.
If you've got the $, just get his two albums. I just love his delivery...he can essentially take one thought he's had and just stretch it for ten minutes, hilariously.
i've been championing him for a couple years now. He and John Mulaney are probably my 2 favorite comedians at the moment.

God of thunder is the pancakes on a plane bit, right?
Yes, sir. John Mulaney is great...so far. I just feel like a lot of his act is big, true stories from his actual life, so I don't know if he'll be able to keep it up. My friends and I have replicated the Salt and Pepper Diner idea, though.

Also, T.J. Miller has recently come into my radar...guy is just so weird and hilarious. His album "Audiofile Mashup" doesn't have an un-funny bit on it, IMO.

Great delivery. His bits about "How Winning The Lottery Changes Your Life" and Vegas are great. Always pops up on my Pandora stations.

Mrs Tif and I watched a previous L CK special (Chewed Up) over the weekend, just a couple days after watching Oh My God. There's about a five-year gap between that and OMG, and the difference between the two in his confidence level in his material and his delivery is astounding..... and he was really good in the older one.

Oh My God was junk compared to his older stuff. he seems happier now. happiness and art generally don't mix.

I definitely noticed that as well. While I don't think it was his best, I wouldn't call it junk by any means.

One thing I noticed was he didn't seem to wander very far from what he originally starts talking about. I really enjoyed some of his other stuff where 10 minutes later, he's about as far from what he started with as you can get and you are just laughing wondering how the hell you got here from there

I think Shameless is still the best, followed by the HBO half hour special.

I'm not sure if John Mulaney's stuff is true stories. The lady in the subway story is not likely real. The doctor/getting drugs story can't be real.

Who knows, I dunno, I just get the vibe from him that his material will dry up sooner rather than later.

I'd never heard him until last night. Saw it on netflix and watched his Dress to Kill one i think. Very enjoyable. My favorite part though was probably the intro where he voiced over a trolley ride as if they were prisoners going to alcatraz. also the ending. "so well that's the end of my show. i always like to end my shows with a general 'oh' (*shrug*) feeling. and ...i think i accomplished that."

The intro video for "Glorious" is pretty funny, too.
