Yeah, that's the thing... people are just spamming them without being even remotely clever about the "jokes".

Should be able to click the little down arrow and choose Hide all from Bitstrips or something like that.

Upper right corner of a post has a little arrow. Click on that and it should ask if you want to Hide the poster or Hide All from Bit Strips (or other offending app).ExPatriatePen wrote:Curious as to how you did that?blackjack68 wrote:Just blocked all Bit Strips 20 minutes ago.

I had one or two that didn't go away, but I think it had to do with how the pictures were shared.

Re: Odd Things You Read on Your Facebook Wall Thread
I didnt realize bitstrips was actually popular. The girlfriend started using it and therefore i am now using it, but she doesnt post them to facebook as far as i know. Of course, i dont use facebook these days, so none of these things affect me. Thats probably how i missed out on candy crush through ts peak of popularity.

Re: Odd Things You Read on Your Facebook Wall Thread
someone posted a link to a truther website on why they shouldn't get a flu shot and ended with me being accused of being in bed with big-vaccine or something because I get them and questioned the data, or lack thereof, in the "article". I'm sure a lot of you have seen this opinion piece that cites one of their 5 reasons that the FDA is bad.
Other gems from this site are ginger root being better at killing cancer than chemo and CA is being fried by Fukushima radiation and some other things I'd expect Alex Jones to cover.
I was also called a troll for questioning the validity of the site and the article.

Add me to the list of people creeped/weirded out by people continuing to post on the Facebook walls of deceased people well after the person has died/the funeral took place.

Re: Odd Things You Read on Your Facebook Wall Thread
along those lines - there was a kid i went to grade school with in tennessee who was driving a jeep when he was 15. he was pulling out of his neighborhood and hit this big boulder thing and his jeep flipped on top of him and he died. i just saw one of my other classmates from tennessee tag him in a post and clicked through. it looks like someone made a facebook page for him 2 years ago and people just tag him randomly and post on his wall. weird.

Re: Odd Things You Read on Your Facebook Wall Thread
It depends on the situation for me. A pilot I knew from my CG days died in a crash a couple of years back, and I think his wife converted his normal page to a "Remembering LT ____ ________" page. Around his birthday, there will obviously be a flurry of messages, but someone will also occasionally tag him in a Coast Guard related picture or something. That's less weird and more honorific to me.
Sometimes it's just flat out weird though. I thought I might type out a bunch of FB statuses from "beyond the grave" I would want if I ever died.

Re: Odd Things You Read on Your Facebook Wall Thread
When you already have two kids, do we really need the 8 month belly pictures? We're well aware of what you look like pregnant and further don't really care. Just post how far along you are if you want people to know. Furthermore, don't parents only have a shower and stuff like that for the 1st kid? Therefore each subsequent kid is less important anyway, so we don't need the belly pictures
