this may seem like an odd question: i am driving from murrels inlet near myrtle beach to tampa next week. is there anywhere along the way that sells very good nuts, as in cashews, peanuts, etc? it is my uncles bday and he loves that kind of stuff and as thinking about picking someone up on the way. found a few things via yelp in charleston. not sure if there is someone else to look?

For the business travelers of LGP:

Garment bags for suits. Anyone have good suggestions on what to buy here? I was looking at this:

" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

but it looks like it doesn't fit the dimensions as carry on, so I would need to check the bag. I want something that I could use as a carry on.

Hmm. I don't think I've ever seen a garment bag that you could check on. Wouldn't it just crumple up your suit at that point anyway?

was looking at this as well:

I really am not sure what I'm looking for as I have never traveled via air and needed to take a couple suits with me. I'm heading to a conference in July and am looking for a good garment bag. I definitely want a carry-on.

Actually, the more I read, the more it seems like properly folding your suit and packing it in a suitcase is more favorable than a garment bag.

Posted this in the beer thread. Thought I'd post it here as well, with info about the HOF.

Back from Cooperstown. Did the Baseball HOF and the Brewery Ommegang beer tour.

Although I'm not a big baseball fan, I thought the Hall was great. So much history and so much to see. Takes about 3 hours to go through the hall, more if you stop at every single exhibit. I skipped some that were of no interest to me.

Oh, and you must stop at the Cooperstown Diner for a burger. Nothing fancy, but the burger is fantastic. And huge.

Ommegang: I enjoyed it, but would have enjoyed it more without the tour guide's family. They apparently thought it would be funny to harass him as he gave the tour. And when they weren't harassing him they talked loudly and acted like idiots. At one point the rest of us glared at them until they finally shut up.

Had lunch at the cafe in the brewery. Chicken and Belgian waffles with a vanilla pepper sauce and raspberry jam. Friend 1 had split pea and ham soup with fresh bread, grapes and locally made white cheddar. Friend 2 had the chicken sandwich with spicy mayo and potato salad potato chips. We all agreed the food was fabulous.

Came back with 2 glasses and 2 new (to me) beers. Witte, and Hop House. Tasted the Hop House there. Excellent.

I have this: http://www.amazon.com/Samsonite-Luggage ... arment+bag

Love it as a carry on for day or two day trips. Light weight, durable, compact. Sometimes have to check at the gate because its too big for some commuter jets, a little small for a week's trip, but perfect for 2 jackets and a bunch of pants if you use hangers with room for two pair of slacks.

An argument could be made that knowing that type of information would be more practical than knowing the capital's of countries around the world.

FWIW, this was the reason I thought Dogfish Head = San Fran:

http://sanfrancisco.dogfish.mlultimate.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I knew they partnered with a brewery, but incorrectly assumed Dogfish Head when it was Lagunitas (which is north of San Fran).

Now, a brewery that does exist in San Fran is 21st Amendment, if you're into their selection.

im heading to Cancun (riviera maya) in a month with the fam. Is there anything we should know about customs? i.e. - in Punta Cana we had to pay $10 each when we deplaned.

I don't remember having to pay for anything when we entered/left Cancun Airport.

We were in Playa Del Carmen. Stayed at one of the Viva Wyndham resorts. Where are you staying.
