Re: Odd Things You Read on Your Facebook Wall Thread
THIS morning.
Nice to see all the outpouring of love for the Dads who are here or gone. Lest we forget those who grew up with abusive or absent dads.
These days are hard for them. My heart goes out to to you!

No, it was a chick. She sells that beachbody stuff (whatever that is) and posts about it and eating healthy / exercising about 20 times per day. I get it, you were always fat, lost a lot of weight but still wouldnt look good in a 2 piece, but need to let everyone know how much you love eating healthy and exercising ad nauseam.PensFanInDC wrote:Would this persons name be Rick by any chance?cheesesteakwithegg wrote:People who eat healthy are getting to stay-at-home mom annoying levels on facebook.Went grocery shopping and the lady behind me said ..."I could never live at your house." There are 2 chicks that I'm friends with on there (one mentioned above) that are "coaches" and spew all this BS, how it's a lifestyle change, etc.

There's a girl I really like who has a habit of posting a photo of her dog and captioning it as if it's the dog speaking. And it always starts off as addressing her "hey mom..." "It's okay mom.." Etc. I'm not sure how I feel any longer

Re: Odd Things You Read on Your Facebook Wall Thread
I'll admit that I've been guilty in the past of posting pre-race pics which may pollute my friends' FB feeds about 6-7x a year. I generally don't even mind when others do it. I found that it's a good way to find out about events that you otherwise would have missed. If I have to see your 85 tailgating pics several times per summer, you can deal with an occasional pic showing what I'm doing on a Saturday morning.cheesesteakwithegg wrote:LOLPitt87 wrote:So if everyone is a 'Coach', who is buying this stuff??meow wrote:beachbody is the new avon

But my pre-race pics are nothing compared to some of the friends/"coaches" that I know that go hard with about 30-40 mirror selfies... a week. 5 or 6 shots a day, the math checks out. Then there are those who have to post the GoPro video of a road that's bouncing around. No, not a mud/obstacle run, the final stretch of a race, or even something that isn't typical like a rock climb....but a random residential road with the person breathing in the background. To make it worse, FB autoplays it every time I scroll by it.
Then there's the motivational sales pitch that turns borderline mean. It's one thing to post things to maybe motivate those around you, but it's another to be a condescending d while doing so.

Re: Odd Things You Read on Your Facebook Wall Thread
Two things I found interesting.
1. Was at a funeral last week for a friend. Went on facebook afterwards to find out someone not only checked in to the funeral home but also tagged the deceased. Anyone else find that a bit disturbing?
2. Constantly see someone always posting pics of them being healthy, eating good foods and taking pics of their yoga mat and stuff. Then they proceed to post pics of cakes and talk about how they just guzzled down a frosty with a burger and fries at Wendy's.
