What's the word on Voytik in relation to a special talent like Sunseri?
Rated much higher coming out of high school than Sunseri was.

Lead Pitt to a come from behind win versus Bowling Green in the Pizza Bowl, which is something that Tino never did in 3 years as a starter.

Finally, the most important piece, he is not Tino Sunseri.
How does he compare to Tom Savage and Pete Gonzalez?

The MAC probably stole FSU and Clemson on the news of the historic TV deal

:D I don't even follow him, saw it posted on a messageboard, someone posted his tweet.

BTW, someone posted a string of tweets of him the other day telling someone how he was right and ahead of the national media in all of the relignment stuff, just that the outcome didn't come out to what was going on behind the scenes.

Nothing has changed -- from June:
What if the Big Ten and SEC would collude to carve up the ACC by attacking the ACC’s GoR and using the upcoming autonomy of the big 5 to make it unlikely that the private schools in the ACC can compete with the rest?

At least four ACC schools will find difficult to meet the financial needs of the highest echelon of college football. Their athletic departments run at or near a deficit each and every year and with the price tag of competing going up I wonder how they will fund the changes.

Notes:

I’m staring to hear rumblings from SEC sources again. Right now its nothing more than background chatter but they openly wonder if the SEC and Big Ten could carve up the ACC with just a little pressure. Both would benefit and neither would be seen as the villain.

Tyler Boyd will be a beast.

Chad Voytik will be the best QB Pitt has had since .... Tyler Palko?

The defense is a huge ?

They will lose one or two games they should win.

7-5 8-4.

pitt is no better and no worse than the soff underbelly of the ACC. really what it comes down to is the few bounces that happen in those games.

The optimistic (Who must be a psycho at this point) would say that pitt lost 6 games last year.

FSU was a blowout

Miami and VT were two games where pitt sort of, kind of competed but had no realistic shot to win.

The other three losses were against teams that were just like pitt...pretty effing medicore. Pitts record against hte pretty mediocre teams last year was not bad but they need to do better against those sorts of muddling teams like the cuse and UNC.

Really the difference between pitt and penn state the past few years is that one team takes care of business against the soft underbelly of the big ten and the other one can't get out of its own way against the likes of navy and georgia tech. neither pitt or UPS can handle the best teams in the conference but at least penn state has common decency to treat its fans to wins over medicore fluff like minnesota and iowa

I'm going 7-5/8-4 as well. I'll do a break down of games when I have time. And when I say breakdown, I mean just put a W or L next to it, not give in depth analysis. That is for Stoosh.

Probably has a lot to do with one team being better constructed top to bottom. Can probably say that Pitt will have better receivers than PSU, but PSU will be better everywhere else on the field.

9-3 is my prediction. Wouldn't be surprised with 6 or 7 wins either. The schedule is so soft, a normal team with their talent would have a great shot to start 7-0. But Pitt, who the eff knows. They'll beat Iowa and lose to Akron

what talent do you speak of? this team is not particularly talented. who in their right mind would expect this team to start 7-0 when this defense is so woeful and devoid of depth on the line and in the secondary?

this is the issue with pitt fans. they see 7 ho hum teams and translate that into OH WE HAVE A GREAT SHOT TO GO 7-0. but lets face it, every team that isnt in the SEC has a halfway decent shot to have a hot start because there are so many pitt esque middle of the road teams. pitt is no different. but you gotta remember that pitt is no better, and no worse than the rest of the soft underbelly of the acc and the rest of the teams ranked 20-60 in D-IA.
