I highly doubt you'd be able to tell much of a taste difference with or without the pumpkin puree. maybe in texture/mouthfeel, but highly doubt with all those strong flavors like the pie spice, vanilla, coffee, nutmeg in there you'd be able to detect the pumpkin, and if you can you may have the world's greatest palate

I don't even care about the latte itself. Just the "OPENING UP MY DAY WITH A PUMPKIN SPICE LATTEEEEEEE OMG" stuff is just annoying. People act like it's the nectar of the gods.

They're the modern embodiment of the elevator operator from Brave New World. To them, it is nectar of the gods.shafnutz05 wrote:I don't even care about the latte itself. I've had a Starbucks a dozen or so times and only ever bought their plain coffee and added 1/2 and 1/2. I'm not paying $5+ for a cup of coffee.

Had Starbucks once. Vanilla bean latte or something. It was good but it was a desert drink not something I could drink every day

Most of their dark roasts are actually quite good (the Kati Kati roast is amazing), but those froufrou drinks are terrible and terrible for you.

I don't often drink coffee but I like pumpkin spice. I have to get decaf because when you don't drink caffeine often, even a little of it makes me jumpy.

I don't see anything wrong with that article or the writer's tone. People eat poison constantly and don't realize it. Raising awareness is a good thing.

if a person didn't know that the fast food they were eating wasn't good for them before reading a pretentious article, then they are idiots. I will continue to eat fast food, i only eat it like 2 times a month, because i like some of it.

Re: Official LGP Facebook Complaint Thread
I think some may not realize exactly how much junk is in any starbucks froufrou drink. It's apples and oranges to compare not knowing the crazy amounts of sugar and crap in a pumpkin spice latte vs "well, it says 100% beef patty, so it must be good for you, right?"

I'll have to take better notes this year, we make it in rather large quantities with the swedish folk up north every fall.PensFanInDC wrote:I'd be interested in giving that a shot. Got a recipe you can share?eddysnake wrote:homemade glögg is where it's at. it's good and good for you.
