What? Washington didn't have a party... Jefferson was part of the Democratic-Republican party which became the Democrats I believe... Teddy left the Republican to form the Bull Moose Party... and Lincoln was a Republican, although were he alive today, I doubt he'd have been one, but that's just speculation.
One of my college buddies owns his own business and sent out a survey to his whole friends list via FB Messenger. I don't have a problem with that in theory but Messenger dings every time a response comes in. I turned notifications off but that means I don't get notification on the ones I want.

Thanks, man!
I'm fairly certain you can turn off the notifications for that specific conversation.
EDIT: Yeah, you can mute a specific conversation. Click the Settings wheel and click "Mute Conversation"
Facebook seems to get worse all the time. I heard something shady happened with messenger recently or something.
My wife said its something about a separate app that asks for a bunch of permissions.
There was a status update floating about how horrible messenger was for your phone because of the permissions it required. Surprisingly, most of the hysteria is unwarranted

Change the state of network connectivity
Call phone numbers and send SMS messages
Record audio, and take pictures and videos, at any time
Read your phone’s call log, including info about incoming and outgoing calls
Read your contact data, including who you call and email and how often
Read personal profile information stored on your device
Access the phone features of the device, like your phone number and device ID
Get a list of accounts known by the phone, or other apps you use.
The "so does every other app" argument doesn't fly with me. I actually check permissions before installing an app and I have very, very few apps that have those permissions. Granted my phone is all types of boring...
lol, this girl got the job because she was involved with the boss, then they broke up and she got fired. most likely she was being her normal obnoxious self and didn't get fired because she was with the boss, and then they broke up and she continued to be obnoxious and she got fired.
I have a friend who finally settles down and got married, etc.
He had a terrible track record of either getting involved with women at work and/or attractive women from Eastern Europe, with a penchant for spending up his money.
After a certain point, we would just say "Yeah....I hope that works out. "
Rule #1 at work: don't get involved with anyone at work.
Yeah, this seems to be good advice. I did this once and it turned out not to be a big deal and I feel fortunate for that...but that was a much more casual job and I was younger then (well, I wasn't older obviously)...now that I'm back in an office and all that, it just seems like a really bad idea...
WOMEN: PLEASE DON'T FORGET THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 11!!!
WALK NAKED IN AMERICA DAY
Don't forget to mark your calendars.
As you may already know, it is a sin for a Muslim male to see any woman other than his wife naked and if he does, he must commit suicide.
So on September 11th, at 10:00 A.M. Eastern Time, all American women are asked to walk out of their house completely naked to help weed out any neighborhood terrorists.
Circling your block for one hour is recommended for this anti-terrorist effort.
All patriotic men are to position themselves in lawn chairs in front of their houses to demonstrate their support for the women and to prove that they are not Muslim terrorist sympathizers. Since Islam also does not approve of alcohol, a cold 6-pack at your side is further proof of your patriotism.
The American government appreciates your efforts to root out terrorists and applauds your participation in this anti-terrorist activity.
P.S.
If you don't send this to at least 1 person, you're a terrorist-sympathizing,
lily-livered coward and are possibly aiding and abetting terrorists.
