He could be great in 4 or 5 year. Love is great right now. Wiggins' ceiling is probably a little higher than Love's but the chances he reaches it aren't very good. Love is arguably a top 5 player in the league, definite top 10, I don't see any way the Cavs couldn't pull the trigger on this move.

Yeah I read about it the other day, didn't think much of it. As long as she understands the mens' game, who cares. Men coach womens' basketball, hockey, etc.

Just saw the Spurs are hiring a female assistant coach Becky Hammon. What I find more interesting than her being female is that she's still playing for the San Antonio WNBA team. Imagine if Derek Fisher accepted the Knicks job mid-season with the Thunder...(ignoring tampering rules of course)

Hopefully she does well and gets a chance at a head coaching job

Steve Ballmer new Clippers owner
"I am thrilled that the Clippers now have such a wonderful new owner," said Shelly Sterling, who as part of the deal was given the title of "Clippers Number One Fan" and "owner emeritus". I am happy for the team, the fans, the sponsors and the City of Los Angeles."

Apparently the 6ers ARE going to be in the trade but they aren't getting Bennett. They're gonna give Thaddeus Young to the Wolves for Shvved and Mbah a Moute and Cleveland's Miami pick.

In other words, the 6ers are going to get even worse somehow. As if that was even possible. http://www.foxsports.com/nba/story/minn ... :foxsports" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hawks part owner Levinson fealt compelled to sell his share of the team after an email surfaced from 2012 that had him blaming blacks for scaring off whites to hurt attendence.

And of course Silver is applauding the move. The NBA is almost as bad as the NFL now with stupid things like this. If the NHL ever starts punishing people for being human I'm done with it.

after reading the entire email all I could think was, "that's it? really?????"
it was a theory the guy had 2 years ago. is it right? I don't think so but I'm ATL born and raised and have been to exactly one Hawks game in my life (free tickets given to me by my Thrashers ticket rep) but that really has more to do with the fact that I don't like basketball as a sport. too many timeouts, too many fouls.
I am thrilled to see bad things happen to any member of Atlanta Spirit Group though. they single-handedly ruined the Thrashers and deserve all bad things that come their way.

That was my response to the whole Sterling thing... Really? He says something racist in the privacy of his own home and he's banned for life and removed as owner? Really, NBA?

I too was expecting something far, far worse when I heard about this email. At least with Sterling, I thought the guy made some legitimately racist remarks, although I didn't really agree with the punishment or whatnot.

With Levinson, I'm failing to see a problem. From a strictly business operations standpoint, his analysis is probably somewhat accurate. In order to improve revenues and season ticket sales, he thinks that the organization should do a better job of diversifying their approach. I don't see how this is any different than organizations like NASCAR and the NHL actively trying new things to make blacks feel more welcome to either attend events or actually go to games. It simply seems like the Hawks have the opposite problem, which isn't surprising if you've ever been to Atlanta.

I can understand punishing outright racism, but the witch hunt stuff is getting completely out of hand.

this kind of comment used to piss me off. then I took a trip to Pittsburgh in the next-to-last year of the Igloo and I finally understood and could deny it no longer.
true it was the weekend of the AFC championship game between the Steelers and Ravens but still, there were Steelers AND Pens shirts EVERYWHERE, ALL WEEKEND LONG.
the problem is obvious in that there are just too many transplants who don't cheer for the hometown team. with very little championship success at the pro level it's understandable.

I see more Steelers bumper stickers than Falcons (in Savannah).

I guess UGA sucks up all of the oxygen in the state.
