True that's not very realistic. No way they lose at Duke. 10-2

Not an easy road to hoe by any means. I expect a better defense (can't get worse), but success this season is going to hinge on an improved Chad Voytik.
9-3 book it
I have Akron and Iowa as guaranteed losses.

If Narduzzi is half the defensive mind he is alleged to be (which is a pretty sure thing), with Connor/Boyd, an O-line that is trending very very good (admittedly, thank you Chryst for that), even marginal progression by Voytik should result in 8 wins.

Pitt will beat VT, lose to Akron, and wind up 6-6.

Every season has highs and lows. That was the low. This was the high:
As EDSBS put it, Pitt is the Terri Schiavo of college football.

And yet, both of us went 6-6. I guess VaTech is similarly vegetative. Which makes sense, given ol' turkey neck up there.
Also, this did happen this year:

Not a good look losing to the comatose.

Its not worth for the UWV thread to matchup against the Pitt thread. Theres no upside for it to post down.

Losing to Pitt is tradition. It's not quite like Pitt's tradition of going .500, bowl games in Birmingham and having head coaches flee the program.

Hopefully Narduzzi fares better against Youngstown than Chryst did. They had that one guy playing QB---can't remember his name, I think he takes my orders at Chipotle now.
