Our 15 month old daughter has loved just about every food we've given her. She will bypass all other foods to get to the broccoli, asparagus, etc. So my new pastime is experimenting different foods and seeing what she will like. So far, my record is nearly 100%. So far...

-Dill pickles - yes
-Truffle aioli (wtf) - yes
-Marinated olives - yes
-Black olives - a hesitant but affirmed yes
-Tuna - yes
-Cucumber - yes

I know this is around the age where they become fussy eaters, but she will eat anything. She's relatively normal size-wise (she's very tall percentage wise, not quite as high weight-wise) which amazes me because she is like a toddler vacuum cleaner.

i think they're much more accepting of new flavors than new textures at that age

I've got a 5 week at home - I'm carrying the weeks thing all the way to 3 years just to see people's reaction when I say "oh yes, she's 73 weeks old."

we did weeks until 2 months. months until one year. after that, it was things like "a little over a year" or "a year and a half" or "almost 2".

I remember as a kid there were a ton of foods that would literally make me gag just putting them near my nose or in my mouth. I may have been one of the pickiest kids on the planet. My diet consisted mostly of pb&j, cereal, salads, and grilled cheese/tomato soup. Now, I eat and enjoy much more food than my parents every thought I would. I guess it's just a part of a maturing palate. I don't think my parents fully understood that the foods would make me physically ill just by trying to eat them. I know I'll definitely cut my kid(s) some slack if they're picky eaters.

Yeah, I was a picky eater as a kid, and now I eat pretty much anything.

I cut my kids some slack.

My wife, who is a picky eater to this day, tries to make my kids eat things that they don't want, and I always make her mad by telling the kids, "yeah, look, mommy will eat some" even though she hates it and refuses to eat it herself. It's fun.

This sounds terrible, but my daughter just woke up (she normally sleeps 7-7) with the blanket on top of her head with an exasperated cry (not a distress cry, just a WTF cry). Every time she sits up and looks like Casper I can't contain my laughter. I guess it's the little things eh?

I decided today that if you're a person who mentions you're kids by name when you talk about them to acquaintances, instead of saying "my son" or "my daughter", there's at least a 95% chance you're one of those gushy parents that no one wants to talk to.

Better than waking up to your child letting out a 2 second scream then realizing he just yacked up everything he's eaten since lunch. Yep, I'm that guy right now :(

He came in around 6 so I gave him my phone and pulled up some videos for him so we could get some extra sleep. An hour later I rolled over into a puddle.

Just received a call from my 8th grade daughter's school that she was caught cutting "flex" class and was hiding out in the bathroom and will have in school suspension tomorrow.

Thoughts on punishment beyond the suspension? She's had detention a few times but never been in trouble otherwise.

How attached is she to her phone/tablet/computer/etc?

I have no idea how to discipline a child over the age of 3 but it seems kids that age love their technology.

Yeah, I would say taking away electronic privileges is definitely 2015's "grounding". No point in grounding kids without taking away their communication with friends.
