That VT game could really bite pitt in the ace. The NCAA tourny is much more attainable if they were sitting at 7-5 instead of 6-6 right now.

6 mins without a fg isnt gonna cut it tonight. May barely break double digits by half.

Pitt is 2-9 from the line tonight. I see Dixon is emphasizing the fundamentals.

That's never changed. That dates back to many tourney failures of the last 10 years.

They're still fighting though and giving themselves a chance. UVA aren't hitting their shots this second half but a lot of credit can go to Pitt's defense as most have been contested.

UVAs D was just too much. Cut it to 3 with 7 mins left and couldn't make a bucket. Oh well. I am feeling a lot better about the team going forward than I did a month ago

Uchebo has to be the worst big man of the Howland/Dixon era.

As always. I'm also always consistently impressed at how useless Cam Wright is offensively.

Pitt is trying to napalm its tourney chances. Down 3 to Wake Forest with 22 seconds left.

Loss complete. I don't know what I'll do if I can't bet against Jamie Dixon in March. Hopefully Texas makes it in so I can bet against Jamie Dixon Sr.

They could afford one loss over these last 5 games, so long as that loss wasn't Miami. If they beat Miami and close out the year by beating FSU, they will be in decent shape heading into the ACC tourney.

If they get two wins there I feel like they are in for sure. Win only one in the ACC tourney and they probably will be sweating out depending on what happens elsewhere.

At least we can all enjoy the NCAA tourney without worrying about Pitt crapping the bed

First game I made it to this year. That sucked. Did pitt get to the line in the second half?

Cam wright sucks. Like really bad. He had zero confidence last night. There were about 4-5 times in the last six minutes that he beat his man and had a route to the hoop and passed/turned it over. Disappointing end to the game. Artis wide open with a chance to tie. Oh well.

His graduation will be a happy day for me. Dude has played in 127 games for Pitt, starting 70 of them at SG and has made 20 three-pointers in his entire career. Offensive disaster.

Guess they thought they needed to lose out to make the tourney. It's an honest mistake.
