When I first heard about this show right after BB ended, I was skeptical. After watching the first 3 episodes, I'm hooked.

The first two episodes can be watched without a log in on AMC's website.

I watched about 1 season of breaking bad and don't remember odenkirks character, but better call Saul has been pretty entertaining so far. The relationship between him and old man McGill was the most enthralling.
How come you didn't watch the whole BB series?
im not going to blame my wife but she likes to watch tv shows together (outside of the ones i will vehemently protest such as Hart of Dixie). She also gets angry if i watch episodes ahead of her. i usually take the guff or give up watching it because she doesnt ever want to watch serious shows unless shes in the mood. its the same reason why i only made it a season into sons of anarchy. i just give up the want to get back to it after so long. im thinking about rekindling the breaking bad idea, as soon as i catch up on gotham and house of cards.
Women. :)

Well, I think you should vehemently protest that you want to watch the full series. She'd probably get into it herself if she tried it.

I just realized the guy who played Nacho, also voiced the main villain in Far Cry 3. Since the character was modeled after him, he also did a live action short on YouTube as that character. I'm not going to link to it because it's very nsfw.

In short, the actor is incredible.

I refuse to watch previews for next week out of principle (IMO, just wait and watch it completely fresh), so please spoil if there's anything in the previews, but I wonder what the significance of that bag of money bursting was. I feel like that almost has to lead to this not going as planned (i.e.-- him leading them out of the woods and into the waiting arms of the police)...but we shall see.

Minor quibble......... Vaas is actually not the main villain FC3. But he was clearly the most badass and most compelling bad guy, which was why killing him before you kill the big boss was poor storytelling, imo. A weak spot in an otherwise pretty good game.

Continue.

I didn't watch the previews but I'll spoiler my guess anyway
Spoiler:
Jimmy's broke. Or near broke. They'll obviously offer him some money to keep his mouth shut and he'll consider it

I'm happy the most recent episode defined that they were brothers, because I wasn't sure to that point.

I never actually played FC3, and just assumed he was the main guy.

It is stupid how hard it is to watch a show that your SO doesn't like. We tried house of cards and she didn't even make it past the opening scene
Funny story (well maybe) about House of Cards. I watched the second season about a year ago, during a week off from work because of a snowstorm. I'd been trying to get my wife to watch it from the beginning and she walked in my man cave during the

scene. I had her hooked for about 3 seconds, and she was all like, "Nope," walked out, and refuses to watch it.

I caught up by watching episode 3 right before episode 4 last night. I'm really enjoying it so far. I would have to say, though, that while the show is very well-crafted and engaging, it doesn't have that epic feeling that BB had. Of course, I'm not sure when BB took on that feeling for me, maybe when Gus Fring comes on the scene?

Anyhow, about episode 4...
Spoiler:
I guess Jimmy uses his genius as a con man to get ahead the same way Walter White used his genius as a chemist. I really had to think through that opening scam with the wallet, cash, and watch several times to figure out how it worked. I also figured that he had to be running a long con on Hamlin, but couldn't quite figure out what it was until the guy dangling off the billboard starts yelling at him to hurry up. That was awesome.

Lol same. Regarding the epic feeling, I thought BB was boring for a small chunk of the first season.

Can anyone name the jazz tune that was playing while Jimmy made the media phone calls this last episode? It's been driving me crazy all day.

It's well written, well acted and otherwise well executed. But it doesn't have a hook yet. They'll get some mileage with the BB connection, but the show is gonna need some oomph at some point for me.
