The latest ISIS escapades. Of course the Taliban blew up the 3,000 year old giant Bhudda carved statues and one of Morsi's cabinet wanted to blow up the sphinx and the pyramids so I still throw them in the same nutbag category.

Re: ISIS Crisis
the pirates put out a statement
“The classic gold P stands for Pittsburgh and is worn by our players, coaches and fans with a great sense of pride. It is absolutely sickening to everyone within the Pirates organization, and to our great fans, to see this murderer wearing a Pirates cap in this old photo.”

They probably didn't care, contacted their PR person and asked if they should do anything. He/She said issuing a bland "we hate ISIS too" statement wouldn't hurt.

Re: ISIS Crisis
Your latest outrage from ISIS:
Archaeologists and officials have expressed outrage about the bulldozing of the ancient Assyrian city of Nimrud by Islamic State militants in Iraq. IS began demolishing the site, which was founded in the 13th Century BC, on Thursday, according to Iraqi officials. The head of the UN's cultural agency condemned the "systematic" destruction in Iraq as a "war crime".
IS, which controls large areas of Iraq and Syria, says shrines and statues are "false idols" that have to be smashed...
BBC Middle East correspondent Jim Muir says the attempt to destroy Nimrud is already being compared with the Taliban's demolition of the Bamiyan Buddha rock sculptures in Afghanistan in 2001. As well as destroying artefacts, Islamic State also trades in them - and the trade is one of its key sources of revenue.
