I'm new to shipping beers (never done it before) however would anyone be interested in trading some IPAs? I can a few ones I really like in exchange for some good ny/pa ones.

Do you have access to Jester King stuff? I would be happy to do the PA trading if I could get my hands on some JK offerings.

From the West, I'd like to nominate Firestone's Union Jack IPA.

I like the Back in Black overall, but I'm not a huge fan of the style.Mr. Colby wrote:Two great missing IPAs:

I agree. I think it's a great beer but the black ipa thing just is too different for me.
Sierra Nevada actually has an ipa pack where they have their rendition of a black ipa. It's good but I'd much rather prefer a traditional American IPA, if that makes sense

Re: LGP Beer Madness (IPA Edition) - Wild Card Voting
Sorry that I missed the start to this.
Too late for a wildcard? If not, Hangar 24 Betty IPA. Not a national distribution, but some of this great beer has made it way out from CA. I have one other wildcard to nominate, just need to gather the particulars.
Wildcard:
Bear Republic Racer 5
Hangar 24 Betty
Firestone Union Jack

I think you get hints of IPA flavor, but an overwhelming amount of bitterness. Just not balanced enough for me.Jofa Guy wrote:MWB wrote:I like the Back in Black overall, but I'm not a huge fan of the style.Mr. Colby wrote:Two great missing IPAs:

The best one I've had is Dark Penance by Founders. I recommend that.

Just realized Westbrook isn't in there. Think I'll replace the NoDa with that. NoDa is better, but not widely distributed at all.

Had their white Thai and one claw as well, good stuff, will definitely be bringing home multiple cases on our visit. Also tried a coast hopart, which was OK; their kolsh was great!columbia wrote:They make pretty good beer all aroundmeddysnake wrote:Just had a Westbrook ipa, wow is that good, another good one for the SE bracket

For whatever reason, I never got on board with the cmdre, my least favorite of the GL offerings.
