I remember Wallace complaining about the Pittsburgh weather on his way out of town. Enjoy Minnesota ya jagoff.

It's no surprise that Wallace ended up in Minnesota. After he signed a five-year, $60 million deal with the Dolphins two years ago Wallace's father disclosed that the Vikingsoffered more money.

"The (Vikings) had come to the point where they were telling him, 'You don't have to live here, just be here during the season,' " Wallace's father explained at the time. "He wanted to get out of that snow and cold weather."

4 years, 16 million, 4 million guaranteed. It's like the 49ers are actively trying to suck.

He will be in a rotation with Hyde and Hunter. He's not gonna be asked to be the feature back. He will be used for catching balls out of the backfield and screens etc more than anything else.

I can think of a worse backup, third down back / change of pace (deangelo williams for one)

He'd be much more effective, I think, in a role where he doesn't have to carry the mail between the tackles a bunch of times. Use him like Darren Sproles, I think that's best for him...not a big fan of him as a feature back...then again, that workhorse back role seems to be dying anyhow...what are there, like 8, 10, 12 teams (?) that use a single back for the majority of their carries...?

Again, Bush is not going to be the feature back. He will be used as a change of pace guy and to catch balls out of the backfield etc. He will be just fine in that role. Hyde is gonna get the chance to get the majority of the carries at first, but it will still be RBBC of sorts at least to start.

Bush WAS good for a few years. Wheels pretty much fell off last year. Injury issues, old and losing his explosiveness, drops a lot of passes, long history of fumbling, and is bad at picking up his blocking assignment. He'll have a role in San Francisco for a year, maybe two, but based on the RB signings this offseason, $4 million/season plus $4 million guaranteed is too much money for a rotation RB who might not even be good at his role anymore.

Based on the rb signings, that contract is at worst on par and basically just a value contract. Banks have been broken and gms have been morons. Well one gm in particular.

He's only going to be needed for a year or two. I honestly haven't looked at the structure of the contract, but I would bet years 3 and 4 are easily voidable to not cost the 49ers alot of dead cap space if they want to cut him after they feel they have got their use.

If he can return to form for that year or two, he could be a useful part of a RBBC. I'm just not sold that he can return to form.
